Panther von Pilsner is a handsome 5-year-old bi-colored German Shepherd who seems to have graduated from Harvard Dog School.  He came to us recently because his family lost their home.  Whenever we get new dogs in we try to find out if they've had any previous training, so our volunteer asked Panther to sit... and he did.  So, she decided to see what else he knew and asked him to "down"... and he did.  But wait, it gets better!  She asked him to "shake" and he gave her his paw as if he's done the trick a thousand times. Our volunteer was so impressed, but our boy Panther just wasn't finished yet.  He felt the need to show off a bit more and when she held out the treat and she said "roll over" he did that too!  What an intelligent, well-mannered gentleman!  His previous family obviously put a lot of time and effort into his education. After he finished his repertoire of tricks, Panther proved he was the entire package.  He walked great on a leash and enjoyed hanging out with a few of our female shepherds.  He did alert to a small dog who was walking across the street, so it appears as though Panther just likes to hang with the big dogs.  If you're searching for a dog you don't have to train who will impress all of your friends and family, Panther is your man!  Come meet him and see what we mean (oh, and don't forget the treats!).
